With a total of three consecutive Swedish road championships between them, the two Riwal Securitas Swedes Lucas Eriksson and Kim Magnusson stand ready on the start line tomorrow to defend the blue and yellow colors, that have rested on their shoulders since 2017.
The young Lucas Eriksson has the chance to make it three in a row, should he be the first to cross the line on the last lap tomorrow at the Tierp Arena motorsport circuit in Uppsala.
“I’m ready to defend the title”, says Lucas Eriksson ahead of the championships. “It’s a completely flat course, so it doesn’t suit either me or Kim that much, but we’re going to do our best, and then we’ll see how it goes.”
With no big teams to take control of the race, it shapes up to be very unpredictable race at this year’s championships, why Lucas isn’t able to point out his clear competitors to steal away the Swedish colors, that the two Riwal-riders have dominated in recent years.
“It’s hard to say who are the main contenders, so I’d say the whole peloton really. Both Kim and I are going to race for a result, and hopefully we’ll succeed and win either him or me”, ends Lucas Eriksson.
The race kicks off tomorrow at 12:00 CET, where the riders will race 25 laps of a 7,6 km circuit amounting to 190 kilometers around the Tierp Arena in Uppsala.
