In wet and cold conditions in the Belgian race Grote Prijs Jean-Pierre Monseré the team played a visible role closing in on the final with several attacks and great teamwork towards the expected final bunch sprint
”Everything went according to the plan today until the last kilometer. A couple of mistakes were made that ultimately kept us from making a top 10, but I think our overall performance was a good one”, says sports directeur Michael Blaudzun.
“The guys are going well in terms of form and I think we rode a very good race today, of which I’m happy with. In the end, I’m not satisfied with the result - taking the right decisions and riding a hectic bunch sprint is something we must keep practicing and getting better at, but overall a good day.”
Also in Dorpenomloop Rucphen the team flew the colors in front of the race as the full team was taking control to bring back attacks. Though also participating in the attacks themselves, the race ended in a bunch sprint, where Elmar Reinders finished first of the Riwal-riders as 22nd.
