After two flat days in Saudi Arabia today’s stage included several climbs where the peloton was split into many groups. Still the day ended in a bunch sprint where August Jensen finished 6th making it three top 10’s out of three stages so far in the Middle Eastern desert.

“It wasn’t as tough a day, as I would’ve liked it to be”, said Andreas Kron after the stage. “In the end it turned out to be a bit more explosive on the climbs, more than an ongoing tough effort. But we succeeded in keeping the jersey and make a good result on the day.”

With the young Dane leading the youth classification, the team’s number one agenda was to not lose time with Kron. A job they executed perfectly according to the man himself.

“The team did an excellent job again today. I think we’re doing a really good job as a team every day. Elmar and Arvid managed to get us into every climb in front and did a huge job all day, and in the final me, James and August were able to attack and stay in front with the best.”

Andreas Kron is leading the youth classification with 16 seconds while the team is closing in on 1st position in the team’s classification just 1 second behind Total Direct Energie while staying ahead of WorldTour teams like Bahrain, Astana and NTT.
