A hard fight for the riders looking for a good result in the overall classification in today’s Tour de Luxembourg saw young Dane Andreas Kron on the attack in the final where he finished 10th over the line and jumped to sitting 10th in the overall classification as well.
“We were there again in the race today after being caught behind in the beginning, where we had to close some gaps. But the guys rode as a team and caught up with the front again, where Andreas was able to ride a strong final”, says sports director Michael Blaudzun.
Crossing the line to the sounds of the bell indicating one lap to go, Andreas Kron was in a 4-man breakaway taking his chance at a top result. They were brought back though, and 4 riders rode off. Kron finished 6th in the second group, 15 seconds down the winner and leader Diego Ulissi.
“Andreas took his chances by attacking with three other riders. In the end he finished 10th which was another good result for us. With one final day left the race is far from over, and we’ll see what we can do tomorrow”, ends Michael Blaudzun.
