Going over six mountains with more than 5000 vertical meters today’s stage in Tour Alsace is Tour de France-worthy. Right from the start Andreas Kron and Sindre Lunke went on the attack and got away in a 14-man breakaway over the mountainous course.

Finishing up in Station du Lac Blanc, a 10 km mountain finish, the GC riders caught up with the breakaway, but Andreas Kron was able to follow the best and finish 6th over the line advancing to sitting 8th in the overall classification.

“Huge performance by Andreas today”, says directeur sportif Michael Blaudzun. “He really showed what he’s made of with his riding today and stuck to the plan of riding aggressively. Sindre did a great job with him in the break and that Kron is then able to follow the best climbers in the end is just phenomenal.”

With his performance over the mountainous fourth stage of Tour Alsace, Andreas Kron was awarded the jersey for most aggressive rider, making it two days in a row for the team, with Krister Hagen taking it yesterday.
