As the transfer season in professional cycling is running along, Riwal - CeramicSpeed Cycling Team are delighted to announce the first six riders to have signed a Procontinental contract for the 2019-season.
In alignment with the team’s ambitions for the future, Riwal - CeramicSpeed Cycling Team are targeting a foundation of both experienced road captains along with young talents capable of competing at a high international level, while also having a potential for further development.
Two of the teams most capable and experienced road captains, Troels Vinther and Jonas Aaen, both continue on their existing contracts, that they signed prior to the 2018-season, and which are being processed to meet the UCI requirements for Procontinental contracts. Collectively they have ridden eight years for the team and been a fundamental part of the team’s structure.
Three new names take on the orange kit for the first time, namely Rasmus Bøgh Wallin, Emil Vinjebo and Torkil Veyhe, coming along with Rasmus Quaade, who raced for the team back in 2011. All four have showed great prowess in the UCI-races during this season, as well as the races in their home country of Denmark. Rasmus Quaade and Torkil Veyhe have both signed a one-year Procontinental contract, while Rasmus Bøgh Wallin and Emil Vinjebo joins the team on two-year neo-pro contracts.
“Our first year as a Procontinental team, will also be a year where we need to find ourselves on the next level. We’re aiming to become the strongest team of the Nordic regions and place ourselves in the top 20 of the European rankings list. We’re going to be a team who pursue our chances and face up to the challenges ahead. We won’t be satisfied with a participation trophy”, says team manager Steffen Kromann.
