The toughest stage of this year’s Tour de Luxembourg finished with a steep climb to finish line where Rasmus Quaade pedaled his way to a 6th place on the stage.
“I’m so impressed by what Quaade did today”, says directeur sportif Michael Blaudzun. “It shows an incredible strength. It’s not long ago since he came back after an injury, so it’s a really strong performance he showed today.”
Within the last 20 km of the days stage, riders launched their attacks from everywhere and Quaade managed to ride away with a dozen other riders.
“It was a tough day with heavy winds and climbs where the peloton was split several times during the day, and then he just takes off in the final. All in all, a great performance by the whole team today. We keep seeing good teamwork and that’s just something we have to continue doing”, ends Michael Blaudzun.
