Hands were clapping and friendly laughter was uttered whilst riders and staff was being introduced and interviewed by cycling commentator Dennis Ritter yesterday evening at Riwal Readynez Cycling Teams official team presentation anno 2019.
The night started with a reception at the team’s new advertising agency, Fingerspitz, at the docks in Odense where they hosted some 140 of the teams sponsors and friends, followed by an evening spent at restaurant Alfred & Kamilla some 150 meters away, where the presentation took place.
Following the welcoming by CEO Brian Matzen and the team manager Steffen Kromann, Dennis Ritter took charge of the microphone and made his opening remarks, comparing Riwal Readynez Cycling Team with the ugly duckling growing into a beautiful swan - a fitting comparison for a team having base in the same city as the author H.C. Andersen.
The riders were introduced in pairs of two and was welcomed wholeheartedly by the guests as they passed under La Flamme Rouge and joined Dennis Ritter on stage. The presentation also featured exciting talks with the team doctor, Lars Juul, the three directeur sportifs, Michael Blaudzun, Michael Skelde and René Jacobsen, and ended with a special guest with Joakim Andersen - the man who got Tour de France to Denmark - to a talk about the Grand Départ in 2021, which Riwal Readynez Cycling Team are aiming of being a participant in.
The evening ended after several hours of mingling amongst the guests and a nice meal served by the fine cooks at Alfred & Kamilla.
